About the coffee and the region
Halo Beriti is a village in the Gedeb district of the Gedeo Zone. This coffee is grown and processed at altitudes of 1,900 to 2,300 metres, where it benefits from excellent conditions for coffee cultivation. The region’s microclimate and fertile soils help produce exceptional coffees with refined flavour profiles and fruity and floral notes.
The coffee takes its name from the village. Most Halo Beriti coffee grows on small plots near farmers’ home gardens. Coffee sales are vital to the livelihoods of many local families. The washing station works with more than 500 smallholder families farming around Halo Beriti and supports them through financial assistance, work opportunities and premiums.
Flavour notes: Cranberry, peach, pear, white chocolate
Roasted coffee (whole bean) – 250 g
